Whether you’re thinking about leaving the workforce, or just want to be prepared for the worst case scenario, it helps to know what it means to be disabled in the legal sense. According to Dr. Julie Patel, who answers questions about RA in our ask the doctor colum-
several factors are considered including your current work activity, the severity of your impairment, the work you can still do despite your limitations and your work history, age, education and experience. For those considering Social Security disability status, Dr. Patel suggests making a list of your medical problems and discussing them with your doctor to see which can be improved. If improvement isn’t possible and the impairment prevents you from working, you may have a good case. Read the doctor’s column to learn more about the legal definition of disability and the Social Security application process.
ug!
whew this process is enuff to set off a flare from hell,,,i swear,,its set up that you may die before getting SSDI,, they probably had that in mind before setting up protocol for SSDI and approving someone....(reminds me i gotta contact my atty today via Email,,let him know whats happened)
GUESS who's sitting here with me right now,,elvis presley,, hes soooo pretty,,his ringworm is so much better -ive had a real hard time finding more IODINE -no one has it at the pharmacy,,so,,i gotta go on a hunt for it outside of my "circle of safety..."
------------UPDATE ----------------
